Salmon with Green Onion Sauce

If you are tired of a plain sauteed salmon, notch it up with this green onion sauce.

It takes only 3 minutes to make this savory sauce.

This sauce is my family’s favorite fish sauce. All you need is green onions, lemon, and soy sauce.

Goes super well with white rice.

Cooking Tips:

  1. Use quality Japanese soy sauce. Keep soy sauce in the fridge to store unless it is airtight container.
  2. Adding butter makes the sauce richer.

  • Clean the salmon steaks (remove skin if you don't like) and salt pepper. (You can cut smaller as you can see above image.)
  • Heat a frying pan, add olive oil. Cook the salmon steaks.
  • Remove the steaks and keep them warm.
  • In the same pan, add butter, cook green onions until tender, add lemon juice, soy sauce and adjust taste with salt and pepper.
  • Plate the steaks and add the sauce on the side.

Notes

  • This green onion sauce is also quite good for white fish such as sword fish, and works on chicken too. Use only good quality Japanese soy sauce.
