Affogato - Ice Cream with Espresso

Affogato is an Italian dessert and just perfect to finish your Italian dinner. Such a simple and quick dessert – all you need is vanilla ice cream and espresso coffee.  If you don’t have a mocha pot to make espresso, use instant coffee of your choice.

This espresso coffee is made with a mocha pot. (4 espresso type)

Ingredients

  • 3 TBS Espresso coffee

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 2 scoops Vanilla ice cream

  • some cocoa powder or cinnamon powder

Directions

  • Dissemble the mocha pot first.
  • Pour cold water up to the water line in the pot.
  • Insert the strainer on the pot and fill with espresso coffee.
  • Assemble the pot and place it on heat.
  • Once it is brewed, remove the pot from the stove.
  • Put ice cream in a bowl and pour hot coffee over it. Serve right away.

Notes

  • If a mocha pot is not available. Use instant coffee and make it very strong.
