Custard Pear Pie

It’s very old recipe and I made this so many times. And it is always very popular. Surprisingly it takes only 5 ingredients. Pie shell, pear, egg, cream and sugar. Try and it will be your favorite recipe too.

Once it is done, cool it in the fridge more than 5 hours before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen pie shell

  • 1 can half pears (large)

  • 1 & 1/2 cup whipped cream

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 TBS Sugar (or honey)

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 5 Prunes (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat oven 350 degree.
  • Take out the frozen pie shell and poke some holes with a fork.
  • Remove pears and pat dry. Place the pears in the pie shell. (if some prunes are available add )
  • Make custard mix with cream, egg, sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Pour the custard mix in the pie shell. Place in the oven and bake about 40 min until the custard is settled. (poke with a toothpick and the toothpick should be clear)
  • Once it gets cool, keep in the fridge about 5 hours until you serve.
