Gilda - Spanish Sardine Appetizer

Spanish sardine

In Basque, Spain, the dish is called “Pintxo Gilda” and use anchovy, green olive and pepper. I made it with sardine and it’s less salty.

Ingredients

  • 1 can oil sardine

  • some green or black olives

  • some Greek pepperoncini (sliced)

  • olive oil

  • crackers or bread

Directions

  • Open the sardine can and place the sardines on a plate.
  • Slice green olives.
  • Put green olives and Greek pepperoncini over the sardines. Keep it in the fridge about 30 min before serving.
  • Add some extra virgin olive and eat with crackers or bread.

Notes

  • Choose sardine fillets in olive oil.
