Strawberry Cream French Toast

French toast is great for breakfast and you can repurpose sailed bread. For Valentin’s day breakfast, try this for your sweetheart. Add whipping cream and fresh berries, it’s beautiful breakfast dessert.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices Hard French Baguette (1-2 day old)

  • 1 large egg

  • 3/4 cup Milk

  • 1 TBS Maple Syrup

  • 1 cup Whipped cream

  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries

  • 1 TBS butter

Directions

  • Mix milk, egg and maple syrup well in a bowl.
  • Slice 1-2 day old French bread and soak them in the egg/milk. Make sure the bread absorbs all juice. Set aside.
  • Heat a medium frying pan over medium heat, add butter and sauté bread both sides.
  • Make whip cream. In a medium sized bowl, add fresh cream and (sugar or honey if you like) and whip well.
  • On a plate, put cooked French bread and add whipped cream and strawberries on top.
